A fire detector is a type of sensor capable of detecting and responding to flames, as well as smoke and smokeless liquid that can lead to open flames. In addition, these devices can detect fire based on air temperature and air movement, as they detect flames using ultraviolet (UV) or infrared (IR) technology. This allows for instant response, for example, to set off an alarm, shut off a fuel line or even activate a fire suppression system.
